My
review of The Esoteric's
Subverter is up at Stylus. Great album, great band, why aren't these guys huge???
Also, I've started writing for
Metal Injection. I've been a fan of the site for a while. In its early days, it put out primitive, often hilarious shows composed of metal videos, tongue-in-cheek interviews, and some extremely silly skits. Now they've grown up and changed their format to on-demand streaming, with much of the same content, just broken up into more user-friendly bits. The site is more of an awesome time-suck than ever before, so I encourage you to browse around. This week for Metal Injection, I've reviewed the new
Wolf and
Into Eternity. Enjoy!

I wasn't feeling the Esoteric track I heard over at Paper Thin Walls. [What is it with Prosthetic having some of the worst artwork going lately to boot?]
In any case, glad to see your blogging. Ian Christe's blog fizzled, and Scott Seward never updates his, so it's nice to have some mp3s floating around for perusal!
Hey, thanks for the nice words! That Eso track is the first one on their new album, and it's, strangely, the weakest one. Why they led the album off with it is beyond me. It's accessible, I guess, but it's not like the rest of the album. The good stuff really begins about four cuts in. I agree with you about the Prosthetic artwork - they've never really been a label to emphasize artwork, it seems.
