Wetnurse to lactate over East Coast
![]() |
This month, NYC's Wetnurse bring their dairy-free brand of prog/hardcore/metal/weirdness to much of the US East Coast, with a few stops in the Midwest - dates are below. They're supporting their new record Invisible City, out now on Seventh Rule. Along for much of the ride are Black Market Activities band Khann, who sound very much like a Black Market Activities band. I can't really tell BMA bands apart, but their one sound is great. Some choice guests grace this tour - the mighty Samothrace in Philly, Skeletonwitch in Charlotte, Plague Bringer in Chicago, Complete Failure in Pittsburgh. This tour promises anything-goes mayhem, so don't sleep.

One of the year's finest albums right there. The Wetnurse cd, I mean.
Thats odd personally i thought Khann were one of the only bands i could tell apart from the rest of BMA pack aside from Gaza
The Wetnurse album is indeed great, and without giving too much away, expect to see it place fairly well in the Metal Edge year-end rankings.
At first I couldn't get past Gene Fowler's yelping but the Wetnurse disc grew on me. Seventh Rule's slowly becoming one of the most dependable metal labels around. Love this year's Indian and Light Yourself on Fire discs, too.
I agree with CW on Khann. And what about Behold...the Arctopus? Ain't no mistaking that BMA band for anyone else.
Good thing you mentioned Wetnurse. I got a promo copy from Seventh Rule and they're awesome. Speaking of Seventh Rule, this week's Chicago Reader has a full page article on Seventh Rule and a brief mention of Wetnurse as well as Sweet Cobra and Plague Bringer (all Seventh Rule alumni) in it. I'm glad the label is getting a lot of props lately, Scott and Cara work their asses of to run this label out of love.
