Metal Mixtape: Throw Me a Frickin' Bone

. . .

Currently I write Decibel‘s demo column, Throw Me a Frickin’ Bone. The one in the August ‘ll issue (Scott Ian cover, buy here) featured 12 demos, all free at Bandcamp. (Xyphos’ has since gone up to $5.) This was a particularly strong batch of demos. One reader here requested that I put up their Bandcamp links, so here they are. I’ve changed the order from the column’s alphabetization to that of a mixtape.

Click on the play symbol to stream the song; click on the “i” to go to the band’s Bandcamp and download the whole demo. The “i” also leads to lyrics for a good number of the songs, a nice bonus.

If you prefer to download these tunes as a mixtape, I’ve made that available at the bottom of this page. Hopefully you’ll find a new favorite band or two.
